ABOUT KATIE

My Color personality came back as blue which is accurate. A blue personality means that I am motivated by both relationships and intimacy. This shows true because I love to connect with people at events and in general, but mostly focus on seeing that all of the attendees are having fun as well.  

Also I am an ESFJ-T which is extraverted, observant, feeling, judging, and turbulent

• Leadership positions are naturally picked up by me. I enjoy being in charge and will always step up when there is need for a leader. 

• In leadership positions I do not take all the power, rather I like organizing the group and ideas of the people I work with to get tasks done. 

• Through this class and the events we have worked thus far, I believe my leadership skills have grown.  I have established myself more in organizing events and pre-planning through the USG Football tournament. This effort put in before events allows me to better appreciate when the event is actually happening and over because I am able to feel more success in pulling it off.

• Also after gaining experience by working many events, I have been able to take on more large leadership roles. This has emphasized my roots as a blue personality since I always take time to check in individually with the people I am leading to run an event to make sure we are all on the same page and supported. 

• In events and in life I strive off of seeing other people smile and this I incorporate into my events by how I present them to the attendees. I make sure that everyone is having fun, but I also make sure that I am connected to everyone I work with to make sure they are good with any task they are doing and also that they are taking care of themselves. I think it is majorly important to care for your team and I way I have done this is by sending texts to some of my teammates reminding them to drink water and I always carry extra snacks to make sure we are all taking care of ourselves and not being overwhelmed by the event. 

• Since I am a blue personality focused on people, I do need to work with people who are more power hungry so that they can control certain tasks while I do other things involving people more so. Also I think it is important to have more white personalities as well to keep us all calm in the chaos of events.
